Reko Air Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) Pumps are becoming the most common pumps for use when Only Air is available or when pumping solid laden liquids or slurries. Reko Diaphragm Pumps have no seals as the diaphragm acts as the barrier between the Liquid side and the drive side of the pump. When the liquid pressure reaches the air pressure, the Reko pump reaches a point of balance and stalls without the need for bypasses or overload protection.Reko Diaphragm Pumps pump can run dry indefinately and have the ability to self prime to 7 metres or more in some cases. They can handle viscosities up to 20000 Centipoise as standard and some Reko models can handle cPs into the 100's of 1000's. GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE REKO AIR DRIVEN DIAPHRAGM PUMPS
About 15 years ago REKO Industrial Equipment B.V. started developing the REKO air
driven diaphragm pump in order to fill the need on the market for a reliable process pump (with low
maintenance cost), which can operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week under heavy conditions.
The pump has a compact and rigid structure. All wetted pumpbody parts are fabricated from high quality
polypropylene (PP). On request we can also deliver materials, as polyvinylidenfluoride (PVDF) and
polytetronfluorethylene (PTFE).
Applications: from water to pastes, neutral or aggressive liquids, shear-sensitive, thixotrope, wearing and
corrosive liquids, but also sludge and gas-liquid mixtures.
